The Lakkidi View Point is situated on the southern edge of Wayanad district of Karela city. It is at an altitude of 2296ft from the sea level and is at the distance of 5 km from a famous town, Vythiri. The trek to the point is memorable with greens everywhere you turn and streams of the river on both sides. From this point, one can get an amazing view of the valleys and mountains. There are many well-furnished resorts and hotels that can make the trip to Lakkidi easy for the tourists. Every year, many tourists from all around the world come here to have a peaceful experience in the laps of nature. This place is a popular picnic spot that attracts throngs of visitors traveling to Wayanad. There is a famous ghat road known as Thamarassery Churam that connects Calicut and Wayanad. Every year the Lakkidi gets the rainfall of 600cm that makes this region one of the highest rainfall regions of Kerala.
